Fishing lakes in Sikonda

The Valley of Health is a haven of health for anglers and their families who want to relax by the lake! Don't leave your fishing gear at home, so you don't have to miss out on your favourite pastime while you relax!
At the fishing lake in Sikonda, guests with a national fishing licence and membership of the association can buy a day ticket at the fish-keeper's house for 2 500 HUF.

The Komlóverzum Visitor Centre, Municipal Library and Museum Collection is located in the heart of Komló, with tens of thousands of constantly updated library collections,
and local history, natural history and temporary exhibitions.

MecseXplorer
.
The MecseXplorer interactive exhibition is located on the lower level of the building, on 140 m2, which uses touch screen terminals, digital terrain table, VR glasses and traditional game elements to present Mecsek as an outstanding natural and tourist attraction of the region. The theme of organised nature walks or even mining (Betyár-tanya tourist hut, Bányamodell) is presented in the form of spectacular installations.
An ice-cream parlour will show the process of photosynthesis, while a digital table will give a bird's-eye view of the Mecsek.
In the Mecsek Discovery Center phone app, you can find more interesting content both for the exhibition and the nearby Squirrel Trail.
The visitor centre is open for families and individuals during the school year from 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays to Sundays.
During the summer holidays, the centre is open longer from 10:00 to 18:00 from Wednesday to Sunday.
The time required to visit the exhibition is 1.5 - 2 hours.
Pécs Zoo and Aquarium-terrarium

The Pécs Zoo and Aquarium-Terrarium is located on the side of the Mecsek Mountains in a beautiful setting. The Zoo uses the slogan "Wild above the city!" for a reason, as it is the highest zoo in Hungary. Today there are more than 1000 individuals of nearly 250 species living in PécsZOO.
The zoo is open to the public with shows and permanent programmes!
Zsolnay Cultural Quarter

The Zsolnay Cultural Quarter was the largest investment of the Pécs 2010 European Capital of Culture project and is now the city's and the region's premier arts, cultural and leisure centre. The porcelain manufactory covers an area of 5 hectares. The Zsolnay Cultural Quarter has been awarded the Hungaricum status. Its permanent exhibitions and regular programmes present the history of the Zsolnay family, unique porcelains and the Zsolnay Mausoleum. There are also regular children's programmes, theatre performances, concerts, leisure and educational programmes.
Pécs Tv Tower

The 197-metre-high TV tower of Pécs stands on the top of the 535-metre-high Misina in Mecsek. It was opened on 4 April 1973 and has been the tallest building in Hungary ever since. It offers an unparalleled panorama with the largest panoramic view in Central Europe. Its renovated restaurant offers visitors a real culinary experience.
Maré Castle

The castle was built on the top of Várhegy Hill, about 5 km from Magyaregregy.
We do not know the date of its construction and the name of its builder, but it was certainly built after the Tatar invasion. A small historical adventure for the whole family with a permanent exhibition in the castle.
Szászvár Castle

The Szászvár Castle offers a pleasant stay for all ages, with special attention paid to children. In our interactive exhibition you can learn about the history of the castle and the village, and get a taste of everyday life in the medieval manor.
Abaliget stalactite cave
.
One of the best known and most popular natural attractions in Mecsek is the Abaligeti Cave.
Invisible to the human eye, the cave is still in a state of constant change, thanks to the stream that runs the length of the cave. The cave is a major bat roost, with hundreds of small and large horseshoe bats in winter. The cave is 466 metres long, and the main branch of the cave is easily accessible on foot in street clothes.
The Abaliget stalactite cave can be visited at the following times:
from 15 March to 15 October, from 9 am to 6 pm
from 16 October to 14 March from 10 am to 3 pm
Tours start every hour on the hour, with the last tour starting one hour before closing time on the day of the tour.
